We all lead busy lives with pressures to meet the demands of others. Creating a ‘space’ for you to do something for yourself can be challenging but the benefits are immense.
Playing golf is a great benefit to your physical and mental health. The R & A have recently published a Golf and Health report which highlights that ‘golf is a sport that can be played from the age of four to 104. It can be played in the fresh air in the great outdoors, in many different forms and even indoors too. It allows golfers to enjoy a form of exercise, as well as boosting their mental wellbeing in a social environment.’
The report can be accessed here.
The Circle Health Group highlight 10 benefits of playing golf
BUT above all it’s about having fun with friends and visiting the 19th hole!

Many congratulations to the pair of Callum Hutchinson & Alex Lockett who have helped Kidderminster GC retain the Boulton Salver, with 46 teams from 18 clubs played from around the county. In the difficult format of medal foursomes a nett score of 73 was enough to claim the salver.
Unfortunately, after 9 holes into the 2nd round and with lightning entering the area players were called in and the round abandoned.
Defending champions Steve Clarke & Matt Ruffinato took the gross prize with a score of 75, which completed the clean sweep for KGC.
We look forward to hosting the event again next year.
This seasons Open Competitions have got off to a great success, we had two full fields for both the Ladies 3 Ball Alliance (Thursday 25th April) & The Men’s Spring Pairs Open (Saturday 27th April)
We hope you all enjoyed your day and we look forward to seeing you back at Kidderminster very soon.

It has been a challenge for the team with the wet weather conditions from the 2023 winter. But they got there in the end.
Please see below, the pictures of the work.

The coming together of two great golf clubs with unbelievable traditions. Kidderminster v Stourbridge Jubilee has been played for since 1977 but the Vivian Moore Bowl for the winning club has been played for since 1926.
Congratulations to Stourbridge for winning this year, beating us by 3 shots.
Congratulations to individual winners Brian Pinner and Neil Bishop who won with a score of 128.
Thanks for all your support and the weekend was played in exactly the spirit it should be. Lets get that trophy back next year Kiddy.
Many congratulations to Matt Ruffinato and Steve Clarke who posted rounds of 70 and 71 to take the prestigious Boulton Salver at Stourbridge GC today. They beat a very strong field in which 23 Worcestershire Clubs and 96 players took part.
Well done lads!!
