Here at Kidderminster we are in the enviable position of owning all our land and buildings outright, one of the very few clubs in the region to do so. This means, among other things, that we do not have to pay large sums of money in annual ground rents or other amounts to a landlord.
Further, in recent years we have invested in streamlining our business management structure and processes. Consequently our running costs are under tight control and we are now able to pass on those savings in the form of an extremely attractive annual subscription for unrestricted membership.
It is recognised however that, even at this price, full membership does not suit everyone and so we also offer a range of restricted membership categories at different price points including Silver, Bronze and 5-day.
KGC has always been keen to support junior golf development and part of that commitment is the sliding scale of subscriptions we apply to members up to the age of 35.
Being a member of an established golf club like Kidderminster offers many benefits to the keen player.
As well as preferential access to a quality golf course (which in addition to the advantages outlined above, is usually much more cost-effective than pay-and-play for regular golfers), it provides:
The ladies and juniors both have extensive competitive schedules, there are regular mixed matches (both internal and inter-club), and there is competitive golf available for everyone all year round. For the gentlemen there is a monthly medal, a monthly stableford and two midweek competitions every month of the year, in addition to the many trophy events (for which winners have their names immortalised on our honours boards).
We also realise that not everyone wants to play in formal competitions. Some of our members choose not to maintain handicaps, and to simply enjoy social golf with friends – and that’s just fine too.
Membership is currently available in some categories and we welcome applications from all standards of golfer. If you are considering becoming a member then you are most welcome to play the course to assist your decision, and your first green fee will be deducted from your initial subscription.
Credit facilities that spread your subscription evenly over twelve months are available with Fairway Credit – please complete the form above for further details.
